Description
El pailebote más antiguo del mundo.
El velero fue botado al agua por el constructor naval José Coll en el año 1856 en Palma de Mallorca
con el muy religioso nombre de Preciosísima Sangre de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
Su casco fue hecho con maderas de la isla, fundamentalmente de pino y roble. Había dobles tablas
de pino de 80 milímetros cada una sobre cuadernas de roble de 280 milímetros de grueso. El velero
fue dedicado desde su botadura hasta los años setenta del siglo XX al comercio marítimo desde las
Islas Baleares y otros puertos, como Valencia, Vinaroz, Málaga, Barcelona y finalmente Ibiza.
El primer motor no le fue instalado hasta el año 1933. Era un Otto Bronz de segunda mano,
fabricado en 1920 y que tenía apenas 40 CV.
